Civ Iv Map Types

This guide to civilisation iv offers tips for choosing the right maps and strategies. Together, these are the tile's terrain, and they are assumed to cover it uniformly. Wouldn't even recommend huge w/o the 2 gigs for avoiding late play difficulties.

Fall from heaven 2 earth map. Two good maps i've found are perfectworld and creation, both on civfanatics. A very large and detailed map of italy with 18 civs the major citys as starting point.

Disable science victory (maybe all but domination) and have fun with this intense mixture of civ/risk.

The first is the same one as in previous civ games: If the pyramids are built, all government civics are unlocked regardless of technological progress for the civilization that built them. Outside of the civs who start in tundra, everyone else on the map has at least one desert in their starting landmass. These map types are some of my personal favorites;
